In addition to indoor & outdoor training sessions, Vermont ODP participants have the opportunity to attend Mini-Camp weekend, the ODP Regional Tournament, & the ODP Identification Camp. Descriptions & schedules for each event are provided below: 



What is Mini-Camp?
Mini-Camp training is held during the indoor season and are directed by Region I staff members and/or college coaches from around Vermont. Mini-Camp is a component of the identification process to select players for further Region I and National Team activities and events. Each age pool will have up to three 1.5 hour sessions with the Region I/College coaches. All pool team players are eligible to participate in Mini-Camp training.

Region I ODP Tournament:

What is the Region I ODP Tournament?

The Region I ODP Tournament is held for U13-U17 ODP teams from participating state associations in Region I. The tournament is held the first weekend in June and hosted at Rider University, New Jersey or other venues in the in the Princeton, New Jersey area. The tournament committee creates randomly scrambled brackets for all age groups. Under 13 and Under 14 team games are held on Saturday and Sunday in festival format while Under U15, Under U16 and Under 17 team games are held from Friday to Sunday in championship format. Should a U15+ team successfully advance to the semi-finals, relevant information will be provided to the team at the time.

The tournament is attended by much of the Region I Staff dedicated to spending time watching and evaluating all players at least once over the course of the weekend to assist them in the identification process of select players at ODP Identification Camp. Additionally, the tournament is highly attended by college coaches from around the country.

Identification Camp

What is Identification Camp?

All participating VT ODP pool players are eligible to attend the ODP Identification Camp, held in July at various locations assigned by Region I. ODP Identification Camp is designed to provide all players with intensive, quality training while also identifying top-level players in the Region for selection to their age-appropriate Regional Training Pool. The ODP ID Camp is the last component of the identification of players for the Regional Pool/Team each season.
