2012 FALL LEAGUE SCHEDULE CLICK HERE
The Vermont Soccer Association Fall League is open to U10 and U12 Boys and Girls teams. The goal of the VSA Fall League is to provide the opportunity to our youth soccer players to play Fall soccer in a positive, competitive environment that promotes skill development, fair play, and good sportsmanship. There are no playoffs or titles to be won in this league. All coaches, players, and spectators are expected to treat the game, the referee, and each other with respect.
This year's league will be sponsored by SHAWS supermarket and each player will receive a game t-shirt prior to the first match.
The deadline for all forms and fees is August 15, 2012.
Game Dates
Sunday afternoons September 9, 16, 23, 30, October 7, 14, 21, 28* (*only the D1 teams will play on the 28th due to a tournament over the Columbus Day weekend for those clubs) This year the league will have 7 weeks, up from the usual 6 week schedule.
Location
The Tree Farm Recreational Facility in Essex Junction.
League Rules
U10 (7 v 7) and U12 (8 v 8) same rules as VSL (click here). Currently all games are 25 minute halves.
Forms
All teams need to register players and coaches with VSA using Got Soccer. Rosters and player passes ARE required and will be checked at each game. ALL teams/coaches MUST have a signed Medical Release Form for each player with them at all practices and games. In the event that a player needs emergency medical attention this form will be necessary to have a player treated if a parent or guardian cannot be reached. Medical Release Forms will also be available via registration in Got Soccer.
Fees
League Fee – payable to VSA: $225/team (includes field rental fees)
VSA Registration, roster & player pass fees: $20/player and $10/coach (includes coach background check).
Referee Fees: $105/team (each team will have three home games @$35/each, to be paid on days of home games)
Referees: Referees will be paid by the team listed as the home team prior to the start of the match. Referees are paid $35 a game. IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT COACHES REMEMBER TO PAY REFEREES AT EACH GAME. TEAMS THAT “FORGET THEIR CHECKBOOK” WILL BE FINED $50 PER OCCURRENCE AND COULD FACE DISMISSAL FROM THE LEAGUE.
Player and Coach Passes
VSA will provide player and coach passes to teams. Passes will be printed by VSA and returned to the club’s registrar with approved rosters. Passes must have player photo affixed VSA validation. Photos must be current and a maximum of 1”x 1”. Once processed, passes will be returned to the registrar for distribution to coaches. Please allow 5-7 days for this process.
