UPGRADE CLASS FOR CURRENT GRADE 9 REFEREES:

Grade 8 Certification course is for current referee grade 9 (with 1-2 years’ experience) who wish to upgrade to referee grade 8.

ADVANCED REFEREE TRAINING:

The advanced Referee Training course is required for all Referees in Grades 7 & 6. Referee Grade 8’s are encouraged to attend especially if they are planning on working Vermont State Cup, Region 1 Champion’s League, or Vermont Amateur Soccer League games. Registration for the advanced course will be through vtsoccer.gameofficials.net

Referee grade levels and certification requirements for Vermont:

Grade 9 - Referee: The purpose of the Grade 9 Referee Course is to prepare officials for the small sided and recreational youth game.

Grade 8 - Referee: The purpose of the Grade 8 Referee Course is to prepare officials for the competitive youth game (U19 and below).
