Vermont Soccer Association (VSA) and NBT Bank, two organizations committed to strengthening local communities, have announced that beginning in 2026, NBT Bank will serve as the Official Banking Partner of Vermont Soccer Association. This partnership reinforces a shared commitment to supporting youth development and expanding access to soccer across the state.

Built on a shared dedication to Vermont families and communities, the partnership reflects a unified vision of promoting opportunity, financial well-being, and active lifestyles for players, coaches, referees, and families throughout the Green Mountain State.

“We are thrilled to welcome NBT Bank to the Vermont Soccer family,” said Andrew Minnis, Executive Director of Vermont Soccer Association. “This partnership brings together Vermont Soccer and NBT Bank, an exceptional organization defined by high-quality people and a genuine commitment to the communities they serve. Together, we are creating meaningful opportunities that support the growth and development of our players, families, and members—helping them succeed both on the field and in life. Through this collaboration, we are not only advancing the game across Vermont, but also investing in a stronger future for our soccer community.”

Minnis added, “NBT Bank’s dedication to service, integrity, and community impact makes them an ideal partner for Vermont Soccer Association. Together, we are creating a strong foundation that supports the growth of our players, coaches, and referees while strengthening the long-term health of the communities we serve.”

“Partnering with the Vermont Soccer Association is a natural fit for NBT Bank and for me personally,” said Vermont Regional President Dan Werme. “My daughter played soccer through VSA throughout her school years. Soccer kept her active and engaged at a time when kids are increasingly drawn to screens, and during COVID I watched her withdraw and then truly come back to life when she returned to the field. This partnership reflects NBT’s commitment to helping individuals, families, and communities thrive by supporting programs that promote teamwork, leadership, and healthy lifestyles.”

Through the partnership, NBT Bank will support key VSA initiatives, including serving as the presenting partner of the Spring Vermont Soccer Festival—the state’s largest event—as well as supporting TOPSoccer, statewide programming, educational resources for players and families, and expanded outreach efforts designed to make soccer more accessible and inclusive.

The collaboration will also create opportunities for financial literacy education, community engagement, and on-site presence at major VSA events and championships.
